Coffee is a fresh product with a shelf life, and most of the category doesn't treat it that way. A bag can sit on a shelf for months before it reaches you, and you'd have no way to know.
We publish the roast date because it's a fact we already have, and withholding it doesn't do the customer any favours. The same goes for price — you shouldn't need a cart or a WhatsApp message to find out what something costs.
If a bean has passed the week it was roasted in, we pull it rather than relist it. That's the commitment behind the dates you see across this site.
